Sevres Vases

In terms of European porcelain vases, perhaps no name means more than Sèvres. Though originally a name referring to the famed French porcelain manufactory, the name now connotes porcelain vases of a particular style. Sèvres style vases are typically Neoclassical in form, with a pale or dark blue porcelain ground painted with vignettes of French courtly life and often adorned with gilt bronze mounts.

Mayfair Gallery offers a truly exceptional collection of Sèvres style vases, including examples painted with portrayals of Rococo style cherubs and accented with parcel gilding, to grand garnitures commemorating and celebrating the life and accomplishments of Napoleon.
